I Think Not!!

You know,
In the Bible it says that "broad is the way and wide is the path that leads to destruction, and there be many that follow it". Thus, a word commonly tossed around in Christian circles to refer to the path of damnation is "the broad way".

Also, the famous street (it is a street, right Tiph?) in New York City where all kinds of glamorous showbiz dreams are made and broken is called "Broadway".

Ever notice the connection? How many actors start off great, but later on spiral into debauchery and depression? Such promising lives and talent fall into pieces as a result of the cruel world of entertainment. I think it is fit to say that "Broadway may lead to destruction" too.

That is my thought of today.

No Noose Is Good Noose

Hi.
Being the ever-hungry person I am, I just ate a lovely sandwich. Then mum came home and gave me a subway that she'd bought for me. I love food. I love my mum more though. But that's not quite the actual reason this post is bought before you today. The last few days I've been feeling starved of God's prescence in my life...like I'm devoid of any influence from Him at all. After talking with a couple of friends, and going over some stuff from ages ago (like my testimony, old jeke posts, etc) I've been noticing what I think may be what be my likely trouble right about now-ish.

Life has been pretty sweet lately, and as such I've grown confident and proud. Uh-oh. That doesn't sound good. An attitude of "Hey, I can pretty much take care of myself" has arisen. *Warning bells sound*. What happens when one thinks one does not need God to run one's life? Nothing too beneficial, I can tell you that much. Anyhows, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like you to read the following song. It's called "Replace Me", and it's by Family Force 5.

My Batteries died sometime ago
Gotta heart shaped box where they must go
Corrosion's building everyday
My flesh is leading me astray that's why I started to decay and I will slowly rot away but I can't feel that anyway

This heart it wants to beat

These Lungs they want to breathe

These eyes they wants to see

Gotta Mouth that wants to sing

Desperation
Needing You
Every last breath
I scream for you
Shatter me into a million pieces...Make me new

Crush me, tear me, break me, mold me
Make me what you want me to be
I am yours for you to use
Oh, Take and Replace me with you

Needing more than just a jump start to get me through
My disconnection is now the issue.....

I miss my 1st love bad and its driving me mad
Just Like a mixed up crazy person out of his head
Its been a long long time I've been on the decline
I do an a-bout face so I can be replaced. 180!!!

This heart it wants to beat

These Lungs they want to breathe

These eyes they wants to see

Gotta Mouth that wants to sing

Desperation
Needing you
Every last breath
I scream for you
Shatter me into a million pieces...Make me new

Crush me, tear me, break me, mold me
Make me what you want me to be
I am yours for you to use
Oh, Take and Replace me with you

One for the body
Two for the soul
Three to get ready
Now go go go

Replace me with you!!!

Desperation
Needing you
Every last breath
I scream for you
Shatter me into a million pieces...Make me new

Crush me, tear me, break me, mould me
Make me what you want me to be
I am yours for you to use
Oh, Take and Replace me with you

Tonight, that's what I'm going to be asking the Lord to do with me. Tommorrow I'm going to ask Him to keep it up. The day after, I'm going to ask Him to not let me slip away from this. I've got to stop forging my own path through this hectic world, and follow the path that He's drawn up for me with His wonderful redemption plan. The chorus (text in bold) is what I need right now...there is no other word for it except desperation...desperation to be made new. Whatever it needs to be done, I want God to do it...if He needs to crush me, or tear me, if He needs to break and mould me, so be it.

Lord, take and replace me, with you. May it be no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me.
Amen.

Sean.

The Lost, The Sick, The Sacred

Yo,

Enough can never be said about how awesome God is to me, to you and all who love Him and follow His commands. I'm in a real P&W kind of mood right now, as you may have noticed. This is a rather short post, but I'll leave you with something from the deep end of life.

It’s been a few long years since I started on this road
Longing for that place I call my home
And in the battlefield, in the sun, and in the sand
I will never forget my home land

It’s a long road
Back to my home
And you’re waiting at the gates for me
You're waiting at the gates for me

Standing on this battle ground, I see my Father before
Carrying the cross I should have bore
So for him I will run the race marked out before me
Because His stripes have set me free

- The Long Road, Flatfoot 56.

Love you all,
Ponybuttface.

[This post may not seem complete: it's not. I've been trying to add an animation, but it's mucking me around. Maybe later.]
[Ok, it's added now, but click on it to make it work.]

Eli Loves Trains....NaNaNaNa

So where to begin?
AGMF was pretty much the raddest thing to happen to anybody over the Easter weekend. So much went down, and it's hard to try and remember all the good stuff, so here is an abridged list of some highlights. I'll likely think of some more later on, so I may add over time.
> Seeing Tiph's Heather and meeting Tiph's Heather's Brother Josh
> "Sean has nappy rash!!!"
> Cameron Semmons. Again.
> Shaved ice.
> Catching up unexpectedly with people from schoolies, VACC, church, work, and school.
> Holly not thinking I was weird like Sara whose first question to her was "Do you like arthouse films?"
> Antiskeptic
> Day Of Fire
> The Magic Toilet
> Breakfasts consisting of doughnuts & thickshakes.
> Nachos.
> Wanting to get a photo of a "metrosexual" guy next to the giant "Metro" board outside the Metro Cafe Tent. We didn't though, due to the total lack of a camera.
> Mrs Lerch giving us cookies for taking care of Dylan (ie: hurting him thrice every 15 minutes).
> EES, the hip-hop hicks from Wagga Wagga. They had talent and comedy.
> TAJHM (The Amazing Joel Hockey Movement). He gave out free ice creams!
> Buying Project 86 cds for cheap. Not quite as cheap as free, but still cheap.
> Michelle Tumes, who played amazingly well.
> Steve Grace and Brendan Walmsley, two country artists I can stand.
> "Chai isn't really my cup of tea".
> What if Blindside tried to imitate Soulframe's "I Heart SF" shirts...?
> The Sunday Morning Church service.
> Planetshakers and Parachute Band. Two amazing worship bands.
> The JC Epidemic riders. Being an ex-rider, being able to appreciate how hard some of the tricks getting thrown down makes it so much more exciting for me to see than it might for others.

And because downsides are always interesting, here are some not-as-awesome things.
> Waiting 40 mins for $10.50 plates of nachos (not including 10% surcharge for the public holiday) that were totally gone in less than 5 minutes. I still reckon we shoulda gone to Montezuma's for takeaway, not that dumb Amigo's restaurant.
> The campground toilets. Somehow, I remember them being not as bad last year as they were this time around.
> The overlap of TAJHM and San Salvador (band from the ashes of SLC).
> Rookie's last show. Oh wait, wrong list. Haha.
> Forgetting a towel, thereby nullifying any possibility of a shower. Oops.
> Overspending. Oops.
> Having to leave Sunday night in order to work at 10am Monday morning.
> Farewelling Jael as they go off to conquer the music world, one USA at a time.
> No Tiph.
> The Frullet having to leave 'cause of injuries. No matter how much he brought them upon himself, it kinda blowed to have him leave.

Well, I'm off to munch chocolate. Later skaters. God bless and rock, rock on!
